Thank you for visiting my website and welcome. I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and supervisor of other psychotherapists (for my professional body entry details press here, for more details about taking supervision with me you can visit my website at www.psychotherapy-supervision.co.uk ). I adhere to the UKCP code of ethics. I work in the City and West End of London providing one to one therapy and relationship counselling. I also work via skype and so can work with clients from all over the world.
My aim is to assist clients in enabling them to make informed decisions about issues they face, their life and their life journey, to "choose" a direction and not feel “pushed”. I firmly believe that awareness of why and how we behave or make decisions enables us to have choices so that we are then able to take decisions and, when appropriate, modify our behaviour in our best interests. In short "between the stimulus and the response there is a pause, and in that pause lies our power and our freedom." (Viktor Frankl)
I practice integratively (i.e. not restricted to any one psychotherapeutic approach). My approach ensures that you will be listened to in a strictly confidential, secure, safe and non-judgemental setting. In short I believe that it is usually best to analyse issues, understand the situation/material (both the conscious and unconscious) and then identify and implement appropriate solutions.
I have various professional qualifications and so work with clients both innovatively and creatively, ensuring the approach taken is unique for each client. For some tips on how to get the most out of the therapy press here. I work both with the conscious element of personality by assisting appropriate behavioural changes and with the unconscious so that reasons for feelings, thoughts and behaviours may be understood and change or growth attained. Some of the issues that I work with are listed in the issues section but include depression , generalised anxiety and specific anxiety. I also provide relationship counselling.
I appreciate that making contact can be stressful and difficult. So if you prefer you can contact me by telephone (07956 569149), email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by using the contact form below. The addresses for my consulting rooms can be found in the contacts section of this site. Thank you for reading this and I look forward to hearing from you.
